Bristol based graffiti artist. Quintessential dust kicker and lamp lighter.
Ghost Dance grew up with his three brothers on a working class estate in Knowle West, Bristol.
The artist vividly recalls intense economic hardship, and an ever present undercurrent of violence, which not infrequently surfaced to impact personally on the artists life. The Artist feels these conditions not only profoundly shaped how he would later perceive the world at large but have come to inform given aspects of his work.
Inspired by the Graffiti Art Scene, the artist has recently conceived an entirely new Graffiti Art concept, which he calls Dangerous Graffiti. He describes this new concept as Urban Journalism, which covers a wide range of subjects such as global warming, teenage gun and knife crime, politics, war, celebrity, education, poverty among other things.
Dangerous Graffiti is also deeply embedded with the artists philosophy, poetry, humour along with his own personally conceived symbols.
The inner message of Dangerous Graffiti is :
"We are not weak but strong. We are not lost but carry within us a light that will ever navigate a way"
